An Exceptional Golf Course
The History of Saratoga National Golf Club
The Architect
Roger Rulewich
The many architects that were interviewed included Nicklaus, Palmer, and Rees Jones. Roger Rulewich, a 34-year disciple of Robert Trent Jones Sr. was selected in 1996 due in part to the timing of the project. Roger had just broken away from the Trent Jones Group to form his own entity that is know today as The Golf Group (a.k.a. The Rulewich Group). The Golf Group offers over 140 years of experience in golf course design and construction. Roger's philosophy is simple: the golf course must invite play, reward its players and justify its operation. Saratoga National Golf Club was ROger's second project under the Rulewich Group name and is held near to Roger's heart.
