The first par 3 makes you earn your score as you view the large undulating green lying beyond one of the many wetlands. A massive bunker awaits the misguided tee shot on the front right side, but this fate may be better than the downhill pitch from a mounded fescue slope awaiting the golfer left of the green. Take a deep breath on the tee and relax.
